To build and maintain an internationally recognised centre of excellence
in maritime heritage for the benefit of all Australlians by presenting
through research, acquisition, conservation and operation, our continuing
maritime history.

& Programs:
The Australian Heritage Fleets restores, maintains and operates
heritage vessels, including the 1874 barque 'James Craig'; 1902
vice-regal steam yacht 'Lady Hopetoun'; 1902 steam tug 'Waratah'
and 1903 gentlemans schooner 'Boomerang'.
In addition, the Fleet has restored inner-harbour launches and
workboats and a unique collection of small craft and steam engines.
A large research library is also maintained.
The 'James Craig' is berthed at Wharf 7, Darling Harbour, Sydney
adjacent to the Australian National Maritime Museum. She goes to
sea every other Saturday with passengers who book a day sail by
telephoning the Fleet office or via the website.
The steamers take passengers on harbour cruises which may be booked
by telephoning the Fleet office.
The restoration and maintenance workshops are in Rozelle Bay and
visitors are welcome by arrangement.
