Exhibits & Programs:
The Museums and Art Galleries of the Northern Territory (MAGNT)
is committed to the acquisition, research, development and conservation
of scientific, art and material culture collections. The community
has access to the MAGNT collections and research results through
its public displays, exhibitions, publications, and community education
programs. The MAGNT has museum facilities in Darwin and Alice Springs
(located at the Alice Springs Cultural Precinct) and provides advice
and support to regional museums and keeping places. Other MAGNT
venues in Darwin are the Australian Pearling Exhibition, Fannie
Bay Gaol and Lyons Cottage (BAT - British Australian Telegraph House).
