The Chesapeake Bay Maritime Museum, accredited by the American
Association of Museums, was founded in 1965 to further an interest,
understanding and appreciation of the culture and maritime heritage
of the Chesapeake Bay and its tributaries through collection, education,
documentation, exhibition, research, and publication.
