The Royal Danish Naval Museum regards the historic collection of
ship models as its cornerstone. The collection consists of about
400 items, illustrating the technical development of shipbuilding
through the last 300 years. The collection contains models of ships,
ornamentation and mechanical devices dating as far back as 1669.
It is among the finest in the world and is in some respects unique.
